My Covid Relief Mask Project

Thank you so much for visiting this site.

(The customer support folks at Wix and I are on first-name basis now.)

I wanted to use my skill-set to benefit those more impacted by Covid 19, and chose the First Nations, as they have been disproportionately impacted by Covid.

After many requests from friends after sewing masks for them, I crafted some to sell to raise funds. I worked hard on a design that fit well and addressed a few issues with older prototypes. Being able to change out the metal nosebands once they fail, and the ability to change out the ear elastic are important features. Washability, comfort, and of course: appealing design, are musts! Each mask set cost about $4.75 in raw materials, and required 30-45 minutes to complete. I listened to quite a few podcasts, episodes of "The Office", and most of "Winners Take All" by Anand Giridharadas (HIGHLY recommend!) to complete these!

I'm pleased with the versatility and durability of this design and hope you feel the love that went into them when you wear them.

Thank you for your generosity and support.
